Ross Intermediate School Take the Lead to Reduce Emissions

Paving the way from Palmerston North to tackle Climate change, Ross Intermediate school are setting the bar for other schools across the country to become carbon neutral.

Ross Intermediate are devoted to reducing emissions and doing what they can to be more sustainable and enviro-friendly.

The school is leading by example for other schools to be more sustainable. Staff are looking to install solar panels and students have been busy planting trees as a means to offset and reduce their carbon emissions!

Ross Intermediate school have joined Ecotricity so power across the school is supplied by renewable sources! Really shows Ross Intermediate school are walking the talk and doing their best to be sustainable soldiers.

It’s great to see Kiwi Kids being involved with projects to learn about climate issues and what they can do to reduce their carbon footprint.

The school also received coverage from NZ herald with Liam Rutherford of Ross Intermediate sharing his thoughts around the importance of schools being more environmentally conscious and using alternative energy sources.

The school vision is to providethe best possible education; academically, sporting and culturally to all students. We think they’re hitting the nail on the head and doing a marvelous job!
