We can't say enough good things about the Outlander PHEV. It's now the number 1 selling PHEV in NZ, the UK and a number of other countries. We've been using Outlanders since Dec 2014 and it's an absolute joy to drive.
Used models start from around $22,000 while new updated longer range models start from $54,240 after rebate.
Super versatile family 4wd that can tow 900 kg, drive to the mountain and costs near zero to run around town. Uber quiet plus the low centre of gravity makes it a great handler on the open road. The paddle shifters provide possibly the best e-braking system on the market. Some imported models now include Chademo rapid charging.
