Purchase Reusable Items: Each year, around 2.5 billion coffee cups are thrown away. Consider purchasing a reusable coffee cup or water bottle to avoid paper and plastic waste. Cafe’s tend to offer a slight discount to customers using reusable cups to make a difference too!
Take your Tote bag! : Grab an affordable and trendy cotton reusable tote bag when you’re off to do the grocery shopping. 1 million plastic bags are used every minute and 1 plastic bag, can take 1000 years to degrade. The less plastic we use and waste, the better.
Buy in Bulk: Buying in Bulk minimizes unnecessary packaging and single use plastic.
Walk away without Disposable Cutlery: It’s easy to pick up or take cutlery when it’s handed to you. Don’t be afraid to politely refuse or ask if biodegradable cutlery is available.
Ditch the straw: The straw you’ve used once you’ve finished your drink is disposed of immediately and is on its way to the landfill. Its waste we can do without!
